The official fix for this problem is to replace the hole heater box which includes removal of the hole dash to get access. – price quotes seen on internet forums above 2000 pounds.

Please before ordering check that the mixing flap is working as intended - it must be able to rotate around 70 degrees by hand.

To gain access to the axel you must remove the kick panel and the actuator.

1. Remove kick panel

 

2. Uninstall the actuator by...

3. First removing the plug on the actuator (Car need to be off)

4. Second remove the two screws holding the actuator in palace.

5. Check that the shaft can be moved by hand into both cold and hot position.

6. Leave the shaft in a position where the temperature at wanted and install the actuator again but leave the plug disconnected.

7. After receiving the kit remove the actuator and install the kit - check that the shaft can rotate and hit the stops in both hot and cold setting.

8. Install the actuator with the longer screws that is included in the kit.

9. Make sure to install the plug in the actuator and the kick plate.

10. Clear the fault codes in the controller.

Enjoy that you are again able to control the temperature.
